I had fun at Hutton and reveled in the purpose of it all, and my first taste of freedom. All that I owe to my uncle John. I am so glad he could see what I made of it at the time, and lived to see me put it to use after graduating. I repaid the faith he had in me and for the opportunity to do so I am very grateful. Without him I would not have been able to attend Hutton nor receive its in-depth training. In the years after graduation I reflected many times on the skills I received as put them to good use working on the farms as a Land Girl for which I had trained.
